About: Owned by the same family for 5 generations, the Montalto farm extends for 50 hectares, including vines, olive and fruit orchards, and gardens; which altogether appear as a magnificent mosaic in the landscape. Over the years that Luís Mendes Carlos Santos worked in the Lisboa VR region, he developed his knowledge of a set of old vines that have a very unique character.
Pairing Ideas: If you snacking aged hard sharp cheeses will work well. Vinha da Malhada goes well with dishes made with reductions and jus of the meat itself, dishes with truffles and mushrooms, lamb and goat meat or grilled meats.
