Style: Red Wine
Vintage: 2020
ABV: 11.5%
Region: Burgenland
Country: Austria
Age of Vines: 40 years
Varietals: Pinot Noir
Pairings: Such a versatile varietal Pinot Noir pairs nicely with poultry like roasted chicken served with rice pilaf and sautéed celery with garlic and sliced ginger. Other proteins like pork chops with a dijon mustard cream sauce over steamed rice is a nice idea. I like to focus on the protein first when considering a pairing and the sides are more supplemental. Don't overthink it wine is designed to go with food easily.
Vinification Method: Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and crushed by foot. The juice ferments in 2 large barrels with indigenous yeast and no racking. It spends 1 year aging in barrel and is bottled without fining or filtering and no addition of sulfur.
