Style: Dry Rosé

Vintage: 2021

ABV: 12.5%

Region: Kartli region, village of Mukhrani. Sandstone and gray clay.

Country: Georgia

Varietal: Goruli Mtsvane, Chinuri, Danakharuli Shavkapito, and Tavkveri.

Pairing Ideas: This natural co-fermented field blend rosé is deliberately rustic and lively, with plenty to say on the nose and palate. Give it a little time in the glass—or even a hard decant—and enjoy it with a meal that lets its character shine. It pairs especially well with freshly fried whole fish and rice-based dishes.

Fun Fact: Kartli was famed to be the home of the royal vineyards of the East Georgian regents. In Soviet times, the region was designated for fruit orchards due to poor soil. Pheasant’s Tears and a few other small domains revived rare and nearly extinct varieties such as the whites Goruli Mtsvane, Chinuri, and light reds Danakharuli, Shavkapito, and Tavkveri here.
